Where did Human life begin?

Blessings. No one really knows the answer. There is an endless debate going on about this. Some people say it's once the child is conceived. Others say it's when the child takes it first breath...... Think about this; our brain controls what we do, think, and say. With out it we are dead. So shouldn't life start when the brain is developed?
