Why do people act differently when at a hotel....or do they?

I work in a luxury hotel and I think I'm no longer cut out for this business. So sick and tired of people treating me like I'm not worthy or because I'm behind the front desk that I'm not a human being. I've had guests (if you can call them that) yell at me because our in-house sedan service is too expensive (like I make the rates)...telling me I was going to "suffer and pay the price".....and today, I actually had a guest yell at me because she asked for a private area (besides her room) so she can pump milk and I suggested our HUGE lobby bathroom that has a vanity nook or large handicap stall....she was appauled and asked to speak to a manager! I don't know what makes people think they can talk to total strangers (strangers that are actually trying to HELP them) this way! I've actually hung the phone up on a caller that was eff this and eff that all through the conversation. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE THIS DAY IN AGE????
