Birthmark/medical question...help please!!?

i have a smallish birthmark on my arm that i was inadvertently picking earlier today. now there is a hole in it revealing a darker color underneath. could it get infected/could i have a scar/will it go away? what should i do? five stars if theres an actually good answer
