I have watched the Harry Potter movies, but haven't read the books?

So I have watched all the Harry Potter movies so far but I haven't read a single book. I was wondering if I would still be able to enjoy the books even if I know the gist of what is going to happen. I'm the type of person who hates spoilers. Is there enough of a difference to keep me interested?
